Fresh from tweaking logos and some cosmetic elements to its country sites, Expedia is ready to unleash its TV ad campaign around the world.
The first country to see a variation of the original building blocks adspot to support the new Expedia branding will be the UK. The ad is voiced by well known UK celebrity David Mitchell, star of Peep Show and comedy partner of Robert Webb.
Central to the ad is a reference to how much money - $40 million - Expedia customers apparently saved in 2009 by booking hotels and flights together through its dynamic packaging system.
Developed by creative agency Meteorite, Building Blocks - as the ads have come to be known - airs for the first time on Monday 3 May on commercial channels in the UK.
