Ebookers president and senior vice president Tamer Tamar has resigned from the role after four and a half years.
A statement from parent company Orbitz says Tamar will leave on March 12 to accept a senior executive position outside the travel industry.
The company says Guillaume Cussac, ebookers group vice president and managing director will take over the position.
Prior to joining ebookers, Tamar held a number of roles within Expedia, including vice president and managing director of Expedia distribution.
During his time at Expedia he is credited with creating and building up the Expedia Affiliate Network.
He was also acting managing director of Expedia for a short period.
In the third quarter of 2013 ending September 30, Orbitz reported a 22% increase in room nights while revenue increased 11% to $220.9 million.
