UK-based New Mind and Scandinavia's tellUs IT have merged to provide a single technology platform for destination marketing.
The companies, who between them include customers such as Visit Scotland, Fjord Norway and Visit Denmark, will combine the best features and functionality of their current systems to launch a new platform next year.
New Mind claims to cover about 60% of the UK market working with 150 destinations with tellUs bringing a similar presence across Scandinavia.
The merged New Mind-tellUs believes that by consolidating to one platform and pooling development budgets from hundreds of destination marketing organisations, the new company will combat the budget cuts of recent years.
New Mind also brings its website design and mobile application development skills to the party, which Michael Borge, managing director of Scandinavia operations, has not been available from a single supplier before.
