Urban transport application Citymapper has confirmed Series A funding of $10 million led by Balderton Capital.
Connect Ventures, Index Ventures and Greylock Partners also participated in the round according to a blog post from the startup which announces the company has raised "$ONE BILLION (cents).
The company says it will continue to focus on user experience and product development as well as expanding to anywhere it can make a difference. It then invites readers to tell it what city should be next.
The service, which is currently available in London, Berlin, Paris and New York, pulls in public transport information and provides multi-modal transport options to get users to their chosen destinations.
Further insight on the funding comes via Balderton's Bernard Liautaud who says here that its "product focus has led to some impressive traction in London." He goes on to say the venture capitalist believes it will become a "homescreen mobile app for any city dweller."
