Paul Hennessy, the chief marketing officer (CMO) of Booking.com for the past three years, will step up to become chief executive officer of the Priceline brand at the start of April, said the Priceline Group, the top online travel agency, by transactions.
Current Priceline.com CEO Chris Soder is becoming chairman, leaving day-to-day operations behind. Meanwhile Booking.com's director of hotels Pepijn Rijvers will become its CMO.
In December Gillian Tans was named chief operating officer of Booking.com.
Priceline reported solid earnings in 2014, thanks to bookings growth in mobile and Asia.
