If the turn of the New Year is all about marketing destinations to wannabe travellers, then the industry should always expect some quirky ideas to come forward.
Step up, Booking.com, which today unveiled its latest attempt to bring even more consumers to its platform with a cheeky take on the New Year's Resolution.
The idea is that consumers will somehow find themselves on the Best2016Ever microsite, which has been pulled together by creative agency W+K Amsterdam.
Consumers are then asked to enter an answer to "In 2016, I will ........".
The site then gives suggestions of places to go and things to do in various destinations around the world, with the obvious links back to the main site.
The Best2016Ever site will be backed by a campaign to target travellers in the US and the UK
