- The accommodation giant has unveiled the mobile-based experiences enabling users to see the best things to do via their device as well as access discounts and pay for experiences.
Tuesday July 25 2017:Mobilise partners with iPass
- The two companies have joined forces to bring wifi to passengers at Copenhagen Airport. Mobilise is providing its mobile hotspot system while iPass brings wifi to the airport app.
Monday July 24 2017:Ryanair supports Apple Pay
The iOS app from the low-cost carrier enables travellers to book and pay using the Apple payment service via the Ryanair app. The initiative is the latest in Ryanair's Always Getting Better strategy.
Bitemojo expands to more cities
- The app-based startup, which offers culinary tours of neighbourhoods, has just added Barcelona and Rome. The company now offers tours in five cities including Berlin, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. It is also now working with hotels and conference organisers to provide a branded bitemojo experience to guests.

- cytric Travel Connect is to be made available on the AppExchange enabling business travellers to search personalised trip recommendations. The tool also helps travel managers by providing a view on travel spend.
Friday 14 July 2017:Oslo and Stavanger implement BlipTrack
- The airports are using the queue management technology which provides information on queue and dwell times. A number of airports in Scandinavia are already using the technology including Copenhagen, Helsinki and Keflavik.
Monday 10 July 2017:Hilton, Travel & Transport link apps
- In what is said to be a first for a hotel company, Hilton and Travel & Transport, a major US agency, have integrated their mobile apps. T&T clients can click their Hilton reservations in the Dash Mobile app and will be brought directly to the Hilton Honors app, with access to details such as check-in time or hotel location without having to toggle between functions.
Thursday 6 July 2017:Billund Airport adds Blip
- The airport joins Amsterdam, Auckland and Bristol airports with its implementation technology which measures passenger flow. Initially, the platform covered the security process but it has now expanded to cover passenger flow, queue and dwell time throughout the airport.
KLM talking tag
- The KLM Care Tag provides visitors to Amsterdam in September an audio luggage tag with location-based travel tips.
