It's not just the youngsters, adults have given into the social media temptation and have signed up for Facebook and created Twitter accounts.
But how women and men spend their time on these networks is vastly different.
In a battle of the social sexes, there is no winner, but the scales tip slightly in favor of women — 71% to 62%, respectively.
The news comes as no surprise, though, following the Pew Research Center study earlier this year that pointed to women between the ages of 18 to 29 as the most active social media users.
