On the one hand it's just another hotel partnership with a travel search engine, so good to see some creativity being used to showcase what might be around the corner.
Australia-based travel search startup Adioso (see TLabs Showcase - Adioso) recently signed a deal with Priceline's Booking.com to provide hotel inventory in search results.
But rather than simply throw the accommodation search feed into the main site (coming soon, apparently), Adioso created a new site in its own right to tap into the buzz around St Valentine's Day.
More gimmick than product, showing off the Adioso user experience in different way, it's a nice idea and probably secured some business.
How Much Do You Love Me was based purely on finding results for couples on weekends around Valentine's Day, using different terminology around search and offering results based on price rather than location.
Users are asked to set price parameters based on how much they love their partner (between "a little" and "heaps", plus a departure city.
Adioso returns recommendations for a trip, including prices for the flight (booking it directly on Adioso) and the hotel (via Booking.com).
Cute and effective...
