Japan’s largest airline, All Nippon Airways, will use
OpenJaw Technologies’ New Distribution Capability platform to modernize its retailing
capabilities.
Known as OpenJaw t-Retail, the platform provides dynamic
bundling of flights, seats, bags, hotels, car hire, lounge access, attractions,
insurance and transfers, presented across all distribution channels.
By the second half of fiscal year 2019, distribution partners
will be able to link directly to ANA’s reservation systems.
“We are proud to have been chosen as ANA’s preferred
technology partner for NDC,” says Kieron Branagan, CEO of OpenJaw Technologies.
“We are committed to transforming airline retailing through
the use of NDC standards and to creating a community of NDC-enabled airlines.
OpenJaw is looking forward to our collaboration with ANA to deliver a leading
edge NDC solution.”

ANA says after the initial launch it will add air fare
aggregators to expand access to more distribution partners such as travel
agents and service providers. ANA will also use the OpenJaw t-Data Platform,
which provides real-time analytical capabilities.
“ANA always strives to innovate and bring the latest
technology to passengers to improve safety, convenience and efficiency,” says Mitsuo
Tomita, senior vice president of ANA.
“NDC will enhance flexibility and have the potential to
improve sales. We are planning to integrate the NDC platform in an intuitive
way so that ANA will become Japan’s NDC leader.”
OpenJaw is a subsidiary of TravelSky Technology Limited, a
provider of information technology solutions for China’s aviation and travel
industry.
ANA carried nearly 54 million passengers in 2018 and has a
fleet of 260 aircraft.
