Apaleo
Apaleo’s software-as-a-service platform is priced monthly per unit and generates revenue from services such as Agent Hub and Apaleo Pay. The open platform is meant to drive customer acquisition and improve retention by allowing operators to build a technology stack without vendor lock-in or additional integration fees.
Ulrich Pillau, Stephan Wiesener and Philip von Ditfurth are the principals of Apaleo.
Phocuswright named Apaleo, an API-first, open platform that caters to hospitality brands, the winner of its Phocuswright Innovation Platform program Launch: EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) at Phocuswright Europe, held in Barcelona this week.
Four innovators—Apaleo, Allianz, Companjon and Maya—presented ideas they believe will transform travel to a panel of judges on stage.
Judges included:
- Guido Becher, global head of travel and loyalty, Rappi
- Manuel Hilty, CEO and co-founder, Nezasa
- Piero Sierra, chief product officer, Skyscanner
- Cara Whitehill, vice president, Thayer Investment Partners
As of February, 662 innovators had taken the stage at Phocuswright, collectively raising $12.4 billion. In addition, more than 500 companies had received funding, and over 130 had been acquired, according to Phocuswright.
