Ever since the Open AXIS Groupburst upon the scene to much fanfare two weeks ago, the question is whether the new organization will be a force for good in the travel industry or a new resident on the Death Star.

OpenTravel has a detailed response to the launch of Open AXIS.
The only company sure to benefit from Open AXIS is Farelogix, on whose framework the organization’s schema is based. But how will having two competitive standards have on the travel industry as a whole?
