Australia-based WebJet is committing itself to an assault on the European marketplace after signing a number of deals to help it expand.
The move comes nine months after pledging to launch operations in the US and is aimed at bolstering its, until now, low-key presence in the UK (it has a country site for UK customers).
Central to the expansion programme due over the course of 2011, WebJet says, is a partnership with Malta-based World Aviation Services to help spearhead its ability to sell European carriers.
The agency has also signed a hotel supply agreement with Orbitz-owned HotelClub to provide around 100,000 accommodation points around the world.
A site for Canadian customers is also on the cards, as well as dedicated WebJet services for Hong Kong and Singapore.
