Every travel marketer knows the importance that video is now playing when it comes to influencing the choices of potential travellers.
But there are some interesting nuances in the consumption of videos related to travel that go beyond the fact that people enjoy watching them, or get inspired by them.
Tremor Video used its PlayBack panel of 2,500 consumers to try and establish what some of the elements might be.
First of all it asked about the types of devices that are used to watch different forms of video content to help with choosing a destination...

Watching video, whether it might be films or clips, in fact, features reasonably well in the list of online activities that people do when in a destination...
...so Tremor Video then wanted to find our what types of videos are used as a planning resource when on a trip...
