Travel social network Travellution has revealed seed funding of between Euros 100,000 and 200,000.
The company, which has just unveiled its public platform, declined to disclose the exact funding.
Travellution launched in private beta just under a year ago and aims to bring together people planning a trip to the same destination at the same time via its Tripmate function.
The company is also allowing users an active role in its development through its community advisory board.
At the PhoCusWright event taking place this week in Florida, concerns were raised about the future of social-led trip planning ventures in terms of scale, investment and differentiation.
Travellution also has an ethical element to it with plans to donate a portion of profits to NGOs and businesses involved in protecting the planet.
