- Match made in heaven maybe as Rough Guides and Hostelbookers team up for a budget accommodation booking partnership. Product from the hostel specialist will be made available on the Rough Guides' site, including 20,000 properties in 3,500 locations around the world.
- The Royal Wedding boosted more than just the profile of the UK around the world. The Goring Hotel in London, home to the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton's family over the course of the event, saw visits to its website go into orbit with a 19,000% increase on the day of the wedding versus the same day in 2010. Nucleus, the UK design and branding agency which designed and maintains The Goring's web presence, says the site saw 14,000 visits per hour and over 29 page views per second on the morning of the wedding.
