- Bing launches first dedicated iPad application. The Micros0ft-run search engine has created a number of features for the device, including a Where Am I tool for travellers, using the device's GPS system to automatically pinpoint location of nearby activities and maps. Full story.
- Multicom signs flight specialist Major Travel to FaB (Find And Book) booking system. Major is a UK-based flight consolidator selling net fares on more than 50 leading airlines.
- OnTheBeach launches Deal Finder tool. The online travel agency now allows users to search by deal, month and departure point, rather than destination.
- SITA signs China Eastern Airlines to global IT framework. The deal sees the carrier utilise SITA's IP VPN, IPSec service and Integrated Traffic Management products ahead of its merger with Shanghai Airlines and new membership of Skyteam.
