- Wanderfly, a travel inspiration and recommendation site, has entered the licensing business, offering its technology platform and content to third parties. The first customer is Telegraph Media Group in the UK, which is using the Wanderfly tie-up to power a micro-site for an advertising client, Jeep. The Jeep campaign uses Wanderfly technology and content on a Grand Adventure Holidays site, which provides an adventure-idea generator in association with Jeep.
- Jasper Apps, a Cambridge, UK, app developer, says its My Vacation iPhone app has been downloaded 150,000 times since its March 2010 debut. The app enables travelers to create lists and take notes for travel-planning purposes, and has a travel journal feature where users can build their journals with photos, video and audio recordings, the company says.
- Find Meet Go, an online travel community and tour provider, introduced new features to simplify the process of finding a travel buddy, the Arcadia, California, company says. A Show Interest button enables users to provide information about their upcoming trip, and Advanced Profile Search provides more filters to ease the quest for a travel buddy. The site is geared for solo travelers looking to find like-minded souls for their trips.
