• Southwest Airlines took top honors for Best Overall Customer Experience and Orbitz came in first in the Best Overall Technical Quality category in Keynote Systems' 2011 U.S. Air Travel Websites study. [Priceline was not part of the study.] Full story.

• Not to be outdone by Zipcar's IPO, rival Connect by Hertz announced it is adding two electric vehicles to its London fleet and is providing 16 charging stations in central and greater London.

• Farelogix says it has been working on a "pricing engine" for two years and plans to debut it in late-2011. The company declined to elaborate on its plans.
