All change at the top of UK online travel agency Sunshine.co.uk with the departure of its co-founder/managing director and appointment of a new financial director.
Chris Brown has left the company to "concentrate on new projects and spend more time with his family", Sunshine says in a statement today.
Stepping in to replace Brown as managing director of the business will be existing co-founder and marketing director Chris Clarkson.
Technical director and fellow co-founder Alan Gilmour will remain with the company alongside Clarkson.
The shake-up was completed by the appointment of Zoe Robson as financial director. Robson previously worked as company accountant for a Hays Travel brand.
Sunshine joined the ranks of up and coming online travel agencies in the UK in 2007, launched by Clarkson, Gilmour and Brown shortly before they sold their previous business.
HolidayWatchdog, a consumer travel review site, was snapped up by TripAdvisor for an undisclosed fee in February 2008 as part of a trio of purchases from the EStuff brand, including HolidayLease.com and Transfers.net.
When the sale was completed HolidayWatchdog was bringing in around one million unique visitors every month, buoyed at the time by a strong presence in organic search.
Gilmour says the management changes for Sunshine come at an important time in the company's history after establishing a position in the market for cheap holidays.
"It is important that we grow the company in a sensible yet dynamic way," Gilmour says.
