Travel marketing service Sojern has secured a $10 million Series C funding round, bringing its total capital raised to almost $47 million since 2007.
The latest round was led by Triangle Peak Partners and included participation from previous investors from earlier rounds including Norwest Venture Partners, Trident Capital, Focus Ventures and Industry Ventures.
Sojern says it will use the latest funding round to "aggressively recruit" new commercial, engineering and data science employees as it looks to scale its data-driven "engagement platform".
The service uses data profiling and other methods to give travel brands a chance to target customers in multiple media channels.
Since its launch in 2007 some 500 travel brands have signed up to the system, including heavyweights such as American Airlines, Avis, Starwood, Hilton and US Airways.
The company launched its first overseas office earlier this year in London, UK. It claims to have shown revenue growth of 3,800% between 2008 and 2012.
Previous rounds for Sojern include its Series A in 2007 ($3.2 million), Series B in 2008 ($16 million), Series B1 in 2010 ($9 million) and Series B2 in 2012 ($7.5 million).
Meanwhile, Sojern has hired ex-Affinity Labs, United and Chase Manhattan executive Curtis Atkisson as its new chief financial officer.
