Wrong! Don't believe the hype.
Whilst still in its relative infancy, wearable technology holds an enormous opportunity for the travel industry.
At the moment it seems like such openings are reasonably limited to destination-focused visual search on eye wear, or alerts from devices strapped to our wrists.
But the sheer volume of hardware coming on the market illustrates that it won't be too long before other services and applications for travellers will be developed.
The nerds at Amadeus have been examining the device market and have identified seven areas where wearable technology could fit in (no pun intended).
