TrustYou- The UK-based online travel agency will use TrustYou's Meta-Review service to feature consumers reviews on its site. Verified reviews from across the web are now featured alongside all hotel search results, including a star rating.
SDL wins China and Vanilla web work
- China Airlines has used SDL to launch 12 global websites in 11 languages, joining ANA, JAL and Eva Air on the company's portfolio of customers. The company also recently worked with Vanilla Airlines to handle its web translation tools.
CWT dates with MeetingPackage
- The Finland-based search and booking service for meetings will work with CWT's Meetings & Events division to produce a dedicated platform for CWT customers. The partnership ill begin iniitally with a pilot in the Nordics, with other territories to follow.
Friday 21 October 2016:ArrivalGuides deposits content with
Marginalen Bank- The Swedish bank that provides dedicated credit cards for travellers will use destination content from ArrivalGuides on its website. More than 550 guides will be placed in both English and Swedish languages.
Travelport stops with
Visit Finland- The tourism board will use the Travelport Digital Media Solutions division to help target travel agencies that have passengers considering a stopover in Finland. The country is trying to position itself as a destination for travellers flying between Asia and Europe.
Priceline insures with
Allianz- The Priceline.com brand will use Allianz to provide insurance services on its website and partner network sites. Allianz's usual features include cover for delays, cancellations, baggage issues and 24/7 travel assistance.
Thursday 20 October 2016:TUI goes Europe-wide
- TUI has unveiled its first international advertising campaign based on its one brand strategy. The campaign, which includes TV, print and digital, will go across eight European markets and target all age groups with different holiday habits. The tour operator aims to have all major brands under the TUI name by 2017. However, migration from Thomson to TUI in the UK and Ireland is slated for next year.
CalMac tells stories
- Scotland-based ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne has launched 'Your West Coast', a film which it hopes will inspire residents and visitors to share stories about the area.
Tuesday 11 October 2016:GuestCentric partners with HiPay
- The digital marketing provider for hoteliers has teamed up with HiPay so that properties can expand their range of tolls for securing direct reservations. HiPay has platforms that cover payments via mobile, desktop and with international tools built-in.
Friday 7 October 2016:Holland goes for the cool factor again
- The Tale of Kat and Dog is a 17-minute mini-movie from the tourism board in the Netherlands, showing the adventures of a US business traveller on a visit to the country. The film was created in conjunction with Amsterdam Marketing, KLM and Schiphol Airport.
Blacklane gives points to Miles & More
- The European frequent flyer loyalty programme will hand members additional points if they use the Blacklane ground transportation service. Users earn one mile per Euro spent with Blacklane.
Hainan Airlines redeems with
Kaligo- Members of the airline's Fortune Wings Club will be able to use their points to secure hotel stays at any of Kaligo's network of 300,000 hotels and resorts. A combination of points or points and money can be used to pay for bookings.
Monday 2 October 2016:Booking.com has a home
- The hotel booking service is running a new campaign in the UK, under the tagline "We've Got A Home For You". The latest activity focuses on the number of hotels, apartments and vacation rental products available for travellers: two million.
BookLogic goes direct with Triptease
- Hotel customers of BookLogic will now be able to integrate the Triptease Price Check widget into their websites as part of the agreement. The widget displays rates for the property alongside those for the same hotel featured on online travel agencies.
