Shiji acquires PMS provider StayNTouchNews / TechnologyBy Mitra Sorrells | September 18, 2018Share Shiji Group, a provider of technology for the hotel, retail and entertainment industries, has acquired StayNTouch, a cloud-based suite of hotel management solutions powering 75,000 hotel rooms around the world. Terms of the acquisition have not been released.In February 2016, Shiji Group was part of a $9.5 million Series A funding round for StayNTouch.“Our vision is that the future of hotel technology needs to be open and accessible to every hotel group or technology provider,” says Shiji Group COO Kevin King.“If hotels want everything or just a part of the stack we want the technology to integrate as seamlessly as possible and be available to all. StayNTouch will become a fully owned subsidiary of Shiji Group, and its CEO and founder Jos Schaap will continue to lead the company.StayNTouch will tap into Shiji Group’s existing network of sales and support teams to grow its brand around the world and develop new product features.In an email to customers and partners, Schaap writes that StayNTouch will “open up sales and service offices in London, Berlin, Munich, Singapore and Sydney prior to the end of this year.”“Becoming part of the Shiji Group is exciting for us,” Schaap says.“Our incredible growth has been exciting, but joining a larger group with local sales and support network globally means we can bring our technology to many more hotels while still remaining close to our clients.
