Just a month into a run at the travel industry with its combination of hotel booking and loyalty programmes, RocketMiles has captured its first funding round - $2 million from Atlas Ventures.
The convertible note financing round also sees participation from Link Ventures, Petersen Ventures and a number of unnamed angel investors from both the travel and loyalty programme industries.
The company launched officially earlier this month (TLabs here) with a service that allows users to earn airline points on American, Delta, United, US Airways, and Hawaiian when they book at selected hotels in US cities (15 so far).
RocketMiles says it will use the investment to boost its airline and hotel partner programme as well its marketing and customer acquisition strategy.
It claims users can earn average of 3,000 reward points on partner airline sites with single room night stay.
