Nothing gets patriotic Brits going more than a reminder of classic war movie The Great Escape - or that's the hope of Hotels.com with its new TV ad in the UK.
Expedia-owned Hotels.com blasted (no pun intended) viewers with the 10-second ad over 100 times over a 72-hour period, including slots on high profile terrestrial channels ITV and Channel 4.
The ad is supporting the UK part of a short global sale campaign (presumably with different creative for regions in Europe that perhaps have less affinity for classic British war movies).
