The Rio 2016 Olympics is just weeks away and, inevitably, travel brands have spent months (probably even years) ensuring there is enough capacity to transport and house visitors.
But that enthusiasm, as it so often does during other global events, extends to a widespread increase in average room rates as they attempt to capitalise on what is expected to be 90%-plus occupancy levels.
