Upmarket property rental brand OneFineStay is accelerating its global ambitions, thanks to its recent acquisition by global hotel chain Accor.
The first new city for the company to target will be Miami, Florida, its third location in the US since its humble origins in the UK capital of London in 2010 (TLabs here).
The moves comes four months after the Euro 148 million purchase of the brand by Accor Hotels, a deal which included a commitment of a further $70 million to help OneFineStay expand around the world.
An official for OneFineStay says the acquisition has allowed it to make use of Accor's distribution capabilities, customer base and knowledge as it plots new markets to open in.
The current focus is on cities in the US and Europe, but there is a long-term commitment over the next five years to reach a total of 40 locations around the world.
Earlier this year, AccorHotels announced its investment in two vacation rental businesses saying it wanted to understand what consumers expect from a holiday rental.
The hotel operator acquired a 49% stake in Squarebreak, an online company with upscale properties across France, Spain and Morocco.
AccorHotels also took a 30% stake in Oasis Collections which offers leisure and corporate rentals across the US, Europe and Latin America.
Hyatt, which participated in a $40m in Series D funding in OneFineStay in June 2015, planned to sell its shares in the company after the Accor deal.
