19 September 2018OnTheBeach Group bets on new CTO
- The UK-listed beach holiday specialist has named Stefan Nordin as its new chief technology officer, effective from the start of October. He joins from Bettson Group, a Scandinavian gaming group listed in Stockholm. He joined the business in 2007 and has been CTO since 2013. The release mentions that during his time at Betsson he was "instrumental in the integration of several companies, as part of [its] M&A activities". Nordin replaces Jonathan Smith who is leaving OnTheBeach at the end of the year.
18 September 2018Adara creates EMEA VP role
- The travel data specialist has appointed Curtis Nishijima to the newly-created role of managing director for EMEA. He brings ad industry expertise from stints as global client consulting partner for MediaCom and various senior roles at Amnet, part of the Dentsu Aegis Network.
17 September 2018Guestline appoints new CMO
- The UK-based globally active hospitality software business has named Robert Gorby as chief marketing officer with immediate effect. He has 15 years' experience in customer engagement and marketing management from outside hospitality, having worked for AVG Technologies as global head of marketing for SMBs, Powwownow as marketing director and, most recently, SDL where he was VP commercial for mid-market and small business solutions.
12 September 2018Traveldoo creates CCO role
- The travel and expense tech specialists have named Jean-Sébastien Irigoyen as chief commercial officer, reporting in to CEO Stéphane Donders. He "will be responsible for leading the commercial sales strategy including customer acquisition and client account management, to increase revenue growth and market share, in Europe and then globally." He joins after seven years with Travelport where he had various strategic sales roles. Traveldoo was bought by Expedia Group's Egencia in 2011.

3 September 2018Adara taps Accenture for CMO
- Travel data specialist Adara has named Carolyn Corda as its chief marketing officer. She joins Adara from Accenture, where she was managing director of Applied Intelligence for the travel practice in North America.
Nike man does it for
WizzAir- The Budapest-based low-cost carrier has named Joel Goldberg to the newly-created role of chief digital officer. Goldberg joins from Nike, where he is currently senior director of technology. At WizzAir his group-wide CDO brief covers "e-commerce, data analytics and automation, IT innovation and IT infrastructure and services". He reports in to Stephen Jones, EVP and deputy CEO.
