Oktogo nets a further $2 million from Poland's MCINews / DistributionBy Linda Fox | February 9, 2016Share This article was originally published on Russia-based online travel specialist Oktogo has received a further $2m in funding from existing investor MCI Management.Oktogo chief Marina Kolesnik confirmed the funding to Tnooz and said it would go towards further domestic expansion.This latest funding is on top of $5m invested by MCI just over a year ago, which was slated for sales and marketing to push the company domestically.Oktogo also raised significant rounds in 2013 and 2012 bringing investment in the startup to approximately $32m.Poland-based MCI has been very active in European online travel in recent years through its investment in Oktogo as well as variouis funding rounds for Russia-based online agency Travelata.Most recently MCI invested Euro 11m 60% of Turkey-based online agency Tatilbudur.
