Hotel technology and marketing service Net Affinity has secured a $1 million funding round.
The investment has come from a combination of re-investment of retained earnings and Enterprise Ireland.
The company says the funds will be used to boost its research and development efforts.
Net Affinity claims its technology gives independent hotels the same opportunities in design and marketing that are normally only available to larger, global chains.
It says:

"This major investment will further enhance our already successful product portfolio and secure our place as one of the foremost technology leaders serving the Irish and European hotel industry.
"The completed project will allow our clients access to cutting edge technology normally only available to top International branded hotel companies thereby helping them to compete more effectively in an ever changing complex and mobile world."
The R&D project will take places in phases over the course of the next two years.
Net Affinity's current portfolio of products are web-based and have been used by brands such as Powerscourt, Talbot Hotel Group and Interstate.
