Everbread backer Morten Lund is no doubt used to people saying he is unconventional, a maverick, extremely outspoken and brutally honest about his own failings.
In his first major appearance at a travel event, here in Singapore this week for WebinTravel, Lund - personally bankrupt until earlier this year - has attracted a sizeable crowd of curious and bemused onlookers.
His quirky reputation was confirmed when, during the WITovation entrepreneur bootcamp, he played a clip from the US series Californication involving a hair waxing expert and, err, "finding a niche".
It was almost guaranteed to have offended some people.
Here, Lund is less provocative and more philosophical about an industry that, until eight months ago, had never heard of Everbread - a business thrust into the limelight following the Google-ITA Software acquisition and its inclusion in the now infamous ecosystem graphic.
