Dutch airline KLM clearly has plenty of resources to pour into off-kilter marketing campaigns - this time with an online postcard mailer which places the user in destinations on the network.
The idea behind KLM GiggleJiggle is that passengers can place a picture of themselves or others (such as celebrities or other high profile figures - hey, here's the under-fire Sepp Blatter of FIFA) in a setting, add some silly music, and send to their contacts.
Destinations include on safari in Africa, martial arts in China, on a cowboy western set in the US or, of course, in the Netherlands.
The cyber card campaign runs until early-July 2011 and is the latest in a string of ideas from the airline to engage passengers in different ways, whilst plugging of the destinations served by KLM.
Other recent efforts have included a online music quiz targeting the over-50s, a project to give passengers unexpected gifts at airports (KLM Surprise), and the recent aircraft "tiling" promotion.
NB: Watch Blatter dancing in Africa.
