Russian travel firm Amargo has called on the services of OpenJaw Technologies to run the back-end of its new online travel agency.
OpenJaw's system will power all booking requirements including flight and hotel as well as provide a dynamic packaging system to the Amargo platform.
Amargo was also built with multi-language capability including Russian (Cyrillic), Chinese (Traditional) and English.
The site is currently targeted at Russian and Chinese travellers and has also included visa buying tools into the system. OpenJaw is also running other ancillary products such as insurance via its platform as well as an SMS alert system for booked passengers.
Amargo claims it has big ambitions for the business and admits (perhaps a too openly) that it has invested heavily in the technology to get the site up and running.

"Unlike our competitors, we decided not to start small and grow as it goes, we decided to start large and immediately jump high.
"We have found one of the best technology providers, whose technological solution is used by such companies as Amercian Airlines, Hyatt, British Airways and SAS, and bought it.
"Obviously, it cost a lot of money, but it gave us one of the best online technologies in the world with years of experience, the experience of working with one of the biggest clients in the world."
