Today, Tnooz may look a little different to you than yesterday. But we don’t believe it feels all that different.
Welcome to our new house:
- We updated navigation and revised our taxonomy… meaning there are new clusters of stories categorized as devices, distribution, marketing, social, startups, systems, travel sectors and regions … hey, the digital travel economy evolves, and we do, too.
- We implemented responsive design for smartphones and tablets … go ahead, test drive the UEX on your mobile device.
- We added more photos … it’s travel … we like photos, too.
- We created a Tnooz Events calendar to track what we have coming up … maybe we’ll add other events … we’re thinking about it.
- And there are more enhancements to come soon … hint: mobile app!
Yet even with all of the new features, you still find the same reliable news coverage by our reporters, crisp analysis by our nodes and lively (and respectful) debate on our commenting system.
Our mixture of information and education about travel’s digital engine room has propelled Tnooz’s growth as the global leader in explanatory journalism. And we believe our new web and mobile design enhances your user experience.
At the center of our design is a new product called MyTnooz, an invention driven by you - our readers - and your connections to the global travel business community.
What do we mean that MyTnooz is an "invention driven by you, our readers"?
Quite simply, it means we have been listening to you. Here’s how:
Tnooz stories receive hundreds of reader comments each month. The vast majority of stories are original reporting by our reporters, fresh analysis by our nodes and original commentary by industry thought leaders.
And your comments become an integral part of debate and learning... so we listened to you.
We also listened to thousands of the attendees who participate in our FREE webinar series. Typically, we register between 400 and 500 for our webinars.
Recent topics have covered upselling travel products using business intelligence… the changing role of search as social media matures … and the challenge of preparing travel organizations to manage big data smartly at their companies.
My Tnooz was inspired by your feedback to us… engagement.
My Tnooz welcomes you to join our travel business community as an engaged partner. We urge you to share what you contribute and learn with your business social network. You can sign up directly for My Tnooz or connect through Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
It’s FREE and easy to use on your desktop and mobile devices.
The user experience formula we used to bring you My Tnooz and today’s new-look, same-feel Tnooz is:
Information + community + engagement + listening = My Tnooz
We developed My Tnooz and the new design in partnership with
Bynd Labs, a young and smart Silicon Valley company with roots in web design, mobile services and software development.
We met Bynd during our THack hackathon series when they offered their API to travel developers in the competition. And with Bynd’s help we’ll launch Tnooz’s mobile app soon.
Coincidentally, Tnooz is four years old this month. We keep growing steadily and stay inspired because you – our readers – engage daily with us and many others in the global business of travel.
We like long engagements.
We hope you like My Tnooz … and what we’ve done with the rest of the house.
Cheers,
Gene
