iTraveller, a platform using proprietary technology to connect travellers with suppliers, has secured $1 million in Series A funding.
The Bangalore, India-based business featured as part of Tnooz StartUp Pitch series at the start of 2014.
Investors in the round include ah! Ventures, LetsVenture & Mantra Ventures.
iTraveller describes itself as "a technology-enabled marketplace for holidays". It aggregates content from more than 60 wholesalers and allows travellers to prepare and book a bespoke itinerary. It works directly with all its suppliers.
As well as a consumer-facing site, the platform is also available to travel agents who can use it to book trips for clients.

The finding round will be used "mostly on technology & marketing, with increased focus on mobile devices and enhanced user engagement across the value chain."
Shiju Radhakrishnan , iTtraveller founder and CEO said: "With this funding, our singular focus is to achieve scale. We are resolved to become the largest tech-enabled platform for holidays in the country, with an ambitious target of one billion dollar transactions in five years from now."
In the short term, Radhakrishnan is looking to increase the number of room nights booked every day from today's 20 or so to more than 100, within a year.
