Hundredrooms, the vacation rental metasearch startup, has received Euro 4.1 million in investment in a Series A round.
Seaya Ventures led the round, and past investors Bankinter, Inveready, and Media Digital Ventures also chipped in.
Founded in Spain in 2014, Hundredrooms offers price comparison from various platforms, such as Airbnb, Booking.com, House Trip, and 9Flats. The company sees its main metasearch rivals as being Tripping and Hometogo, and it aspires to dominate the world's Spanish speaking markets and then English-speaking ones.
The startup's founder and CEO is José Luis Martinez Rodriguez, who was previously managing director of Kayak Spain and Portugal and managing director of eDreams Spain.
He believes the company's matching technology excels over rivals at enabling consumers to pinpoint the identical rental displayed with different pricing on more than one platform.
