It's always nice to be recognised for doing A Good Thing by the very people we write about. After all, we like what we do and how we do it - and it is obviously something we take very seriously.
So, we are pleased to share that for the second year in a row, Tnooz has triumphed at the British Travel Press Awards for Best Online Travel Trade Publication.
We (again) beat off competition from bigger publications, in terms of resources, such as Travel Weekly (UK), TTG, Breaking Travel News and BTNews.
The awards are judged by senior figures from around the industry - this particular category being TripAdvisor, Amadeus and Expedia (three companies we have hardly given an easy ride to over the past year), so it's especially satisfying to get a thumbs up for what we are trying to do at Tnooz.
Fair, balanced and accurate reporting, analysis and opinion has always been central to what we are trying to achieve.
Spearheading it all is the reporting team (the brilliant Linda, Sean and Nick), alongside the contributions from our dizzying array of terrifyingly smart Nodes.
And working behind the scenes to make sure we can pull off such initiatives as the THack developer hackathons and webinars is our tireless and inspiring leader Gene, with Jim Craven and Glen Sullivan by his side.
It's a collaborative effort - there's no "I" in team.
We are proud of what we produce every day and how we have made our mark (and, thankfully, others feel the same).
Onwards and upwards. Thanks for indulging us momentarily. Now get back to work... :)
