Although some carriers allow passengers to leave their mobile devices switched on throughout a flight, many, many more still do not.
Still, such strict policies and the reasons given for not allowing mobiles and other devices to remain switched on during taxi, take-off and landing have triggered all sorts raised eyebrows over the years.
As the following clip illustrates, it's no wonder passengers over the years have become increasingly frustrated and confused with this lack of acceptance of in-flight mobile use.
