TAM in Brazil is the newly crowned most prolific airline on Twitter but is not the most engaging, according to to data from Eezeer for April 2011.
The new monthly report (launched last month with data for March 2011) on the activity on social networks by airlines from around the world saw TAM increase the number of tweets it sends soar by 900 from 1,819 in March 2011 to 2,795 in April.
Delta, meanwhile, continues to be airline mentioned most frequently on Twitter, attracting around 17,700 tweets in the month, a jump of almost 2,000 on March.
Other nuggets of information in the latest infographic reveal just 27 airlines around the world produce 80% of tweets relating to airlines around the world.
And if anyone is still wondering what consumers are saying about airlines on Twitter, safe to say that just 15% are discussing subjects other than customer service.
