Hostmaker, one of a growing number of businesses created to support the Airbnb ecosystem, has secured $2 million in funding.
The backers are Avala Capital and DSG Consumer Partners, led by DN Capital. Individual investors include Delivery Hero co-founder Nikita Fahrenholz and Mohita Srivastava, ex-managing director of Airbnb in India.
The London-based company says the seed round will be used to expand its network of services into other cities in Europe and develop more products.
Despite the introduction last week by Airbnb of its own revenue management and pricing control system, Hostmaker says it will continue to provide the service.
Hostmaker has a number of elements within its platform for hosts, including practical services such as housekeeping and concierges, as well as Airbnb-ready tools such as description and photography management for a host's page on the site.
DN Capital has previously invested in Shazam, Auto1 and Purplebricks.
