There's one constant in the world of digital content publishing - there will always be new and exciting tools to explore, and new ways to use them.
Some, however, are getting taken to task for being the poster children of services such as Google+, after one such chap - Mike Elgan - argued that blogs should be abandoned because the fledgling network offers a more fully rounded platform.
But while Egan's arguments are reasonably solid, there are countless other reasons why such a move should never be considered.
