One of the fascinating things about the work produced by European augmented reality developer Metaio is how often the concepts can be applied to travel.
Whether it is how guidebooks or brochures might function in the future or product finders using eBay, visual and interactive experiences using augmented reality technology on the mobile are indicative of perhaps where both discovery and in-destination applications are heading.
This latest effort by Metaio uses an augmented reality city to illustrate how a destination can be brought (virtual) life.
