What can we expect from work, play and life in general in a 100 years is the subject of a report from Samsung SmartThings.
The Future Living Report predicts three areas which might impact our leisure time in a century and it notes, we're likely to have more down time with advances in technology (virtual meetings from home etc.) making for a shorter working week.
- Commercial space flights will be a reality and not only those that go beyond earth but those that can be used to transport people at high speed across the globe. The report predicts communities on Mars and even low Earth orbit space hotels.
- Our own personal drones to transport us around but also able to transport our homes, enabling people to take them on holiday and relocate where they want to be.
- Virtual holidays through the use of technology such as Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR combined with software to generate sounds, smells and motion.
