Twitter fail or security breach, Cheapflights was left with a bit of a problem to solve today after it emerged a tweet sent by the company was perhaps not in the corporate style.
Picked up by well known blogger Malcolm Coles over the weekend, he surmised by following the timeline presumably that the tweet was probably in reference to one of the contestants on the UK's hit music show The X-Factor.
By Monday morning the offending - and some might say, offensive - message had quickly disappeared from the account.
Coles reckons the person that handles the account on behalf of Twitter probably forgot to log out of the official account and posted to their personal account.
An official at Cheapflights has a different story for the time being:

"Cheapflights apologises for the earlier inappropriate Tweet. We are investigating possible illegal access to the CF Twitter account."
UPDATED: Cheapflights say the faux pas can be blamed on a Malware attack.
