More capital into the coffers of BookingPal following a Series B investment to the tune of $5 million led by Thayer Ventures.
Joining Thayer in the round are PAR Capital Ventures and Amadeus Ventures, the investment wing of the Spain-based travel technology giant.
Previous investors in the company include Camp One Ventures and Plug and Play Ventures, both of which participated in the latest raise.
The round brings the total invested in BookingPal to $7.5 million - the last recorded amount was $1.5 million in September 2013 from a group on unnamed angel investors.
BookingPal CEO Alex Aydin says the new money will be used to accelerate development of the core platform and increase head count.
The US-based company has been developing its cloud-based global distribution system for vacation rental owners for a number of years and claims to now have over 250,000 properties on its system.
The news this week coincides with the appointment to its board of directors of Mark Farrell, a managing partner at Thayer Ventures, and Jeff Jackson, ex-CFO of Sabre Holdings.
The investment in BookingPal is Amadeus's third disclosed partnership following its work with Yapta and Cabify.
Thayer's portfolio includes Hipmunk, Liftopia, Traxo, Groupize and Duetto.
