Hospitality tech startup Bbot has added $4 million to its seed funding, bringing the total raised so far by the company to $7.3 million.
Rally Ventures led the round with existing investor Craft Ventures is also participating.
New York, U.S.-based Bbot aims to simplify the ordering and payment process for hospitality businesses.
The funding will go towards recruitment as well as product development with the startup planning to release an API enabling technology partners to build on its infrastructure.
Steven Simoni, CEO of Bbot, says: "Making our robust and configurable platform available to other industry partners through our own API was a natural next step and opportunity to deepen our exposure within the industry. With this additional funding in place, we will be able to continue to grow Bbot's reach and deliver a more seamless experience to all of our hospitality customers.”
The company was founded in 2017 and helps hospitality businesses create digital menus and allows them to offer guest-controlled ordering and payment via QR codes.
Justin Kaufenberg, managing director, Rally Ventures, says: "In the wake of COVID-19, the hospitality industry has a bigger need than ever for seamless technology solutions that can help them streamline operations and increase their margins."
