Amadeus reported its financial and operating results for the first nine months of 2013, with adjusted profit for the period up 6.3% to Euro 511.2 million.
Revenue across both IT and GDS divisions increased by 5.8% to Euro 2,362 million.
Broken down, distribution revenue increased by 5.5% to Euro 1,787 million and IT climbed to Euro 578.4 million (6.6%) over the period.
The company says its share of air bookings now stands at 39.9%, up almost 2% compared to the first nine months of 2012.
Currently, over 80% of Amadeus’ bookings worldwide are made on airlines with whom Amadeus holds such agreements.
Most notable development on the airline side for Amadeus in the third quarter of 2013 was its signing of an agreement to allow agents to book easyJet flights alongside other carriers.

Based upon existing contracts, Amadeus estimates that by 2015 the number of passenger boarded via the Altea system will be around 800 million, an increase of almost 42% compared to the 564 million during 2012.
