Amadeus Q1 2011 results - bitesize summary

Amadeus released its first quarter 2011 results this morning. A quick overview is as follows:

• Net revenue - Euro 728.9 million (up 2.8% from Euro 705.3 y/y).
• Adjusted profit - Euro 144 million (up 11.7% from Euro 128.9 million y/y).
• EBITDA - Euro 291.4 million (up 6.8% from Euro 272.8 million y/y).

• Net revenue - Euro 553.5 million (up 2.8% from Euro 538.2 million y/y).

• Net revenue - Euro 150.9 million (up 2.8% from Euro 146.8 million y/y).

• Air - 108.6 million (up 4.5% from 103.9 million y/y).
• Non-air - 16.1 million (up 2.7% from 15.7 million y/y).

"We have made a good start to the year with both of Amadeus' business lines continuing to show healthy growth during the quarter. "In distribution our global market share of air bookings through travel agents rose by 0.8 p.p. year on year to a record 37.4%, further widening our leadership position worldwide. "In airline IT we processed 94 million 'passengers boarded' during the quarter, 38.8% more than a year ago, with 97 airlines now using the Amadeus Altéa suite of solutions to drive their mission-critical business processes."
