One irony around the failure of Air Australia is that in its dying hours the brand finally made it into the top ten most popular airline websites in Australia.
This was almost exclusively as a result of the coverage of the carrier going under and existing passengers desperately trying to find out how to get refunds or re-arrange travel plans.
The airline managed to attract a 1.65% share of web traffic to the airline category. Market leader Qantas has around 23%.
